I too have a marriage of dynamics and its both a blessing and curse at times. I too am a scientist work in a new area, after being taught all my life a wide array of thoughts from people's past experiences and then documentation. Its very challenging to breakout, but its also part of our makeup....be it DNA or God's hand (oh come on its God's hand and we know it, but to prove it in this material realm is the challenge). If you just go to Near Death Experiences on Youtube you find compelling, frightening and atheistic views of the afterlife and or spiritual world. Its a challenge to think clearly. That is why your husband's work was so important to me with my mentally disabled daughter situation while she was alive and even since she has past. My experience to me was very real, but I had all those doubts that made me challenge the experience. The scientist in me or just a mortal man, that is where I feel you two together will continue to help us get closer to the light. Hang in there, both of you. There is nothing wrong with a belief.....scientists often have a thought (belief) first in order to pursue the science to prove or disprove that belief. I work with plants and everyday what was fact is fleeting and what we have just found for example from the science we work in now is that through the recent plant genome projects....there are multiple things working together that never made sense before and we were wrong about or right. I feel often we are children here at play, here on earth...yet some are called scientists others mystics. I appreciate the science but also the mystic. You two fit what we all need to here. Best Regards, Lance Beem Pauline,

It will be helpful to us all. I was channel surfing and came across Paul Perry in Egypt talking about the lost years of Jesus. I remembered he helped you write your books and Dannion Brinkley. My favorite books. Well very fitting on Thanksgiving Eve....hope you all enjoyed yours too! Lance William Beem (Father of Kari Lynn Beem) Someday I hope to finish her story for you edited. A belief is simply something that someone made up. Anyone can have a belief, that doesn't mean its true. Perhaps the fact that people visit Pauline's blog over true science and cool stuff is proof of Sam Harris's thesis that we are in the grip of irrational believers who care nothing of science and rational thought. People ask me if I believe in near death experiences and that consciousness survives death. I always say "NO I DO NOT BELIEVE THAT". I say that the science convinces me it is a reasonable hypothesis. If people are more interested in beliefs than science, there is nothing I can do about it. So double there Besides, my part of the website is about proven scientific facts and the results of my own personal science experiment for the past many years.

I am definately not jealous just because her blog gets twice as many hits as my entire website combined. I am far too secure for such child like behavior. Besides, I have another entire website melvinmorse.com and it gets 100 times as many hits a day as Pauline's blog! Its not about a numbers game anyway, if I even touch one person's heart I am happy.
